ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Science, Mathematics And Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship for Service Program has been established by the Department of Defense (DoD) to support undergraduate and graduate students at any level pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. The program aims to increase the number of civilian scientists and engineers working at DoD laboratories. Applications are due on December 15.

The Udall Foundation provides scholarships to be applied to a student's Vanderbilt education for future leaders in any environmental-focused field.

Critical Language Summer Institute Provides funding to US undergraduate and graduate students for beginning, intermediate, and advanced level summer language programs in Arabic, Azeri, Bangla/Bengali, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Punjabi, Russian, Turkish, and Urdu.

Congress-Bundestag provides funding for a full-year work-study scholarship program in Germany with a strong focus on cultural exchange.

DAAD offers a range of research, study and internship programs for students at all levels and in all fields.

DAAD RISE (Research in Science and Engineering) program funds undergraduate summer research in Germany.
